GCASH FAQ

  1. What is GCASH?
    GCASH empowers you to send and receive money, buy prepaid load, pay bills, and do a lot of other money-related transactions, anytime, anywhere with just 1 text message from any Globe or TM cellphone.
  2. Why use GCASH?
    GCASH is a faster, more affordable, and secure way to do various transactions:
    • Remittance/Money Transfer — as fast as a text message, fee to exchange GCASH into cash as low as P10 for every P1,000 or just 1%
    • Buying Load — buy load anytime, anywhere, for as low as P10
    • Paying Bills — pay bills anytime, anywhere, without having to fall in line at a bills payment center
  3. Is there a maintaining balance for GCASH?
    There is no maintaining balance for GCASH. However, GCASH has a maximum transaction limit of P40,000 per day and a maximum transaction limit of P100,000 per month (both for incoming and outgoing transactions). This is to comply with the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
  4. Where do I get GCASH and where can I convert GCASH into cash?
    You can get GCASH or convert your GCASH into cash from any of the thousands of GCASH partner outlets nationwide. For more information on how to convert your cash to GCASH, you can go here.
  5. Will my money be safe with GCASH?
    Yes. GCASH uses state-of-the-art technology that ensures only the subscriber can use his/her own GCASH. In order for anyone to make any GCASH transaction, a subscriber has to have both the cellphone and PIN number of the account. In addition to these, in order to convert cash into GCASH or GCASH into cash, the subscriber must also possess a valid ID for proper identification.
  6. What if I forget my 4-digit PIN? What should I do?
    If you forget your PIN, simply call 2882 and request for a PIN reset from the GCASH customer service representative. They will need to verify your account with the information you provided during registration. So, make sure that the data you give matches what you registered with. After having verified your account, you will be sent a temporary PIN, which you will need to change by texting CHGTemporary 4-digit PINNew 4-digit PIN to 2882.
  7. What if I lose my cellphone, will I also lose my GCASH?
    GCASH is safer and more secure than other alternatives because your money is safe even if you lose your phone! You can have your GCASH account blocked immediately so no one else can access it by calling the GCASH hotline, 2882, using any Globe or TM cellphone for FREE or call (+632)7392882 using any landline. Afterwards, you can go to any Globe Business Center and collect your money by providing a valid ID and answering some security questions about the account.
